Manage a very large amount of patient data in a central archive.
Store all types of clinical patient data in an organized fashion
XDS is an IHE-standard. It is designed to store all types of clinical patient data (Medical history, Journals, Images, Videos, Documents, Reports, etc) in an organized fashion for rapid search and retrieval.
The XDS standard defines how different vendors may push patient data to the archive, how the data should be stored and queried and how it may be displayed to the end user.
The CSAM XDS software suite is specifically developed to target PACS and VNA Vendors who would like to deliver complete VNA solutions.
A complete CSAM XDS infrastructure
CSAM XDS is a suite of components that together form a complete XDS infrastructure. This includes the archive, a viewer and several integration components needed to create for integrations with the source data (data producers such as RIS and PACS). The suite consists of:
CSAM XDS Archive. This is the core component where the data is stored. Technically it consists of two parts: an index (Registry) and the actual storage (Repository). The Archive includes inbound interfaces for storing data, as well as interfaces for querying and extracting data.
CSAM XDS Viewer. This component provides the interface to the user. Operators may search for patient information and documents. Once found, they can be opened and read from the XDS viewer.
CSAM XDS Integration Tool. This tool simplifies integration with your existing laboratory systems (the data sources), such as your EPR-system, Lab system, RIS etc.
CSAM XDS Replication. This component can be used to push all or part of the patient information stored in a local/regional XDS archive to a central/national CSAM XDS Archive.
CSAM DocPile. This component is used to enable logging and auditing of relevant user and system activities.
Designed for extremely large volumes and heavy load
CSAM XDS suite is designed for extremely large volumes and heavy load, with the intention of being able to provide an archive on a national level. The system handles both large data volumes and many simultaneously connected users.
For this reason, as well as the base modules, we do also offer the following solutions for High Availability. These modules are frequently requested for this type of system.
CSAM XDS High Availability License
This enables you two run two CSAM XDS instances in parallel within a local environment. This assumes the two servers are relatively close to each other. From the users perspective however there is only one archive.
CSAM XDS High Availability Plus License,
Enables you to run many CSAM XDS instances in parallel in a distributed environment. This means that, if you have many users spread over a large geographical area, you can operate via many servers which are local to the users. The servers will automatically “manage data” between themselves giving the impression to the user of a single large database. This gives the benefits of BOTH a local server for speed and a central server for geographically shared data.
Improves the quality of care through access to all patient data
With CSAM XDS you can manage very large amount of patient data in a central archive. For the clinicians there is a huge benefit in having access to all patient information, regardless of its origin or the system that it was produced in.
Lowers the cost of care
Our CSAM XDS installations have shown over and over again that our XDS solution not only improves patient care, but through avoiding the duplication of examinations and tests, leads to significantly cost savings.
